As many of our followers would know we have been under the spot light for some considerable time from Chancepixie Animal Welfare charity and were in court on the 5th and 6th July 2017.
In the claimants own words this is clearly a landmark judgement for North Kesteven District Council and breeders such as ourselves at Little Rascals Pets Limited, “sets a legal precedence across all council and licensing authorities in England”.
The Judge reserved judgement on the day and today his honour Mr Justice Garnham has given his judgement.
His conclusion is as followed; In those circumstance this claimants application must fail. As it is, however, I reject the application in its entirety.
Now that the Royal Court of Justice has agreed that NKDC have not fail under their obligation to consider the Animal Welfare Act 2006 aswell as the BDA 1973. They did have consideration of the Act upon inspecting our dogs and kennels under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and the BDA 1973.
Now that we have “past the test” we can now spend our time focusing it on our dogs and puppies and continuing to strive to set the highest of standards for all breeding kennels.
We would like to thank NKDC, the barrister and all our supports over this difficult time.
